“I knew from that moment I liked her,” he recalls. “There was just something about her. I couldn’t let the opportunity pass, so I messaged her across every single platform I could think of just to get her to say yes to a date.”

A Proposal with More?Meaning
When it was time to propose, Sam wanted the moment to be one they never forgot — not just for the proposal itself, but for everything it represented. The date he chose, January 18th, was already significant. It was not only the day he asked Eleanor to spend forever with him but also the birthday of their beloved dog and the second anniversary of life-saving surgery that gave her a new lease on?life.
I wanted to really give that date some extra love, Sam?says.
The Ring That Said It All
Sam knew exactly what Eleanor wanted when it came to her engagement ring as she had been clear about it from the start. “She told me she wanted a rock,” he laughs. “An oval-shaped diamond with a thin band so that the stone would look even bigger.”
And that’s what he got for her.
When the ring arrived, Sam couldn’t stop looking at it. “I must’ve looked at it three times a day for the two weeks I had it before the proposal,” he admits. “Every time I saw it, I just imagined how perfect it would look on her hand.”
For them, the engagement ring is more than just a beautiful piece of jewellery—it represents everything they’ve built together, their commitment to one another, and the future they can’t wait to share.
